Fundraising & Events

Fundraising and Events are vitally important for our Group.

Money raised via our fundraising initiatives such as Christmas Tree Sales, Garden Products Drive, Bunnings BBQ’s and Grants provide funds to support training, major hall maintenance, major equipment purchases as well as subsiding attendance at major events for families that meet the requirements set by the Group Support Committee.

Special events for a Scout Group involve the whole family. They are important because they keep parents engaged and in contact with each other and with Leaders. A group with an active calendar of well‐run family events usually has no difficulty finding adults for committee and even Leader roles.

Some examples of recent group events that we’ve held include a parents wine & cheese night, our end of year family picnic, family camp and the annual reporting meeting.
